Fengman proper occupies 1066.7 square kilometers at the south bank of Songhua River, almost perfectly run along the River. Certainly the most beautiful part of Jilin City, it remains true to itself: a funky, individualistic, surprisingly garden like area whose people pride themselves on being the cultured counterparts to its cousins in Downtown Jilin. Dwelling Han, Manchu, Korean, Muslim and totally 17 races in the area.
The highways, railroad, airways extend in all direction which make the traffic pretty convenient .Several national highway and provincial highway across the territory and all the villages were linked by high-grade cement country road. Fengman is a broad and approachable place, where endless ranges and water envelop the region in green which covers 68% of the territory. In the primeval forest inhabit more than 400 species of wild animals ,30 precious plants. During winter will come the rime wonder which is one of the 4 wonders of China. It’s also the motherland of gensheng ,deer antler and marten.
The discovery of 350million cubic meters granite ore is another opportunity for the thriving rock supply centre to popular in the world market.
The first hydroelectric station in Asia locates in the territory. That is the famous Songhua Lake scenic spot and the birth place of 4 well-known fresh water fish.
Fengman is the hub of winter sports in China ,such as skating and skiing .The temperatures is mild in summer and can drop much lower in winter. Spring and autumn is warmer and colorful. Fengman has the unique style of south China and also the roughness of icy north North. There are many ancient relics and historic site , the wonderful zhuque Mountain, the quaint Xiaobai hill, the Buddhism resort-Mopan Mountain are all the tour resort which enrich the mysterious of Fengman .
Now the Fengman people’s government is rolling out the project to put the district into a high-end downtown infrastructure region ,hi-tech agriculture zone, broad –scale industrial distr., commercial and cash flow center, unique culture-tour spot and speed the process of urbanisation.
